The 14th Jonathan Shade novel is now available. It’s called Juju Justice and you can get it HERE.
It’s loaded with the usual action, humor, and crazy misadventures. You get to meet some cool new characters who will be back in the next book, too.
I think of Juju Justice as the one where Jonathan gets cats.
You see, Al Davidson, the wizard who first died in Modern Sorcery and then got to die again in Wicked Shadows had two Siamese cats. When he died, someone had to take them. It turns out, that someone was Jonathan.
Cats who own a wizard can’t be normal, right? I mean, that would upset the space/time continuum. As the book cruises along, you’ll get to know Crichton and Aeryn (named after the characters in Farscape because when I watched the show, I wanted to get two cats, and I was going to name them Crichton and Aeryn).
Another fun fact. This novel has a line in it that I almost put in book one. Then almost put in book two. Then almost put in book three. And so on. It’s not a great line or anything. It’s more of an obligatory line, and it felt natural when it jumped into the book so I left it. See if you can guess which line. Hint: it’s something Jonathan says. If you’re the first person with the correct answer, I’ll dedicate the next book to you.
Thanks for reading this short announcement. It’s time for me to get back to work on book 15, Killing Shade. It’s shaping up to be a wild one. It’s already gone places I didn’t expect. I can’t wait to see where it takes me today.
Talk soon!
I really hope it's "You look like you've seen a ghost." Because it is just so perfect
